You’ve subscribed through Apple subscriptions on your mobile device, but don’t have access to flowkey Premium content yet. Below is a list of reasons why this might be happening, and how to resolve them.

Here are 2 reasons why you may not have access to flowkey Premium:

A) You need to restore your purchase.

B) You're logged in to a different account.

A) Restore your purchases within the flowkey app

You may need to restore your purchase in order to access flowkey Premium content. Here’s how to do it.

On an iPhone

  1. Open the flowkey app.

  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open the Settings menu.

  3. Select Restore Purchases.

On an iPad

  1. Open the flowkey app.

  2. Tap the gear icon in the bottom left corner.

  3. Select Restore Purchases.

Selecting Restore Purchases will unlock flowkey Premium immediately—or you’ll receive a notification telling you which other email address or login method you used with your Premium account.

If the notification says that you already have Premium with a different email address or login, please proceed to solution B, below.

B) Make sure you’re logged in to the right account

You may have created multiple accounts by mistake, with Premium only on 1 of them. Here’s how to discover and fix this issue.

On an iPhone

  1. Open the flowkey app.

  2. Make sure you’re on the Songs or My Songs screen (you can select these at the bottom of the screen).

  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open the Settings menu.

  4. Tap Log Out (at the bottom of the menu).

  5. Log back in with the email address or login method you saw in the Restore Purchase notification.

On an iPad

  1. Open the flowkey app.

  2. Tap the gear icon in the bottom left corner to open the Settings menu.

  3. Tap Log Out (at the bottom of the menu).

  4. Log back in with the email address or login method you saw in the Restore Purchase notification.

Please note: If you restore the purchase and find that your subscription is assigned to a random email address like [email protected], this means you chose for your personal Apple ID to be anonymized. You can still use the Apple Login option to access your subscription though.

You can find more information about this on Apple’s official help page: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT210425

If you’ve tried the above and still can’t access your Premium subscription, please send us a message via the in-app chat or email us at [email protected]. We’re happy to help!
